Adam Lambert Wins, Robyn Performs At The MTV O Awards

November 1st, 2011 // 7 Comments

One of the big winners last night at the MTV O Awards was Adam Lambert, who beat out frequent tweeters like Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber to be honored as the Must Follow Artist On Twitter. “Wow! Won @MTV Must Follow Artist on Twitter!” Glambert tweeted out. “Only thanks to all of YOU! Thanks!!! The support means so much!” No wonder the guy was also named the Nicest Guy On Twitter, too.

Most exciting, though, was headliner Robyn performing live at the West Hollywood Halloween Carnivale, entertaining the costumed masses with several of her Body Talk singles, including “Dancing On My Own” and “Call Your Girlfriend”. More show details below!

Demi Lovato also won Best Artist With A Cameraphone, Britney Spears won Most Outrageous Tweet (“@DJPaulyD Hope you enjoyed your dance! Was tough getting my legs around that big blowout”), and Joe Jonas picked up an O Award for Best Lyrics Video — which, not to brag or anything, but we premiered right here on Idolator!

Were you too busy slinging back pumpkin martinis or carving Jack-O-Lanterns at your Halloween party and missed the show? Watch the whole broadcast, including Robyn’s sizzling set, over at MTV O Awards official site!

Why can’t Adam Lambert ever perform on any of these shows? They can’t still be thinking about the AMAs. I won’t watch the show, but I’m grateful he won an award. I voted alot. When he is finally given another chance to perform on an awards show, I’ll start watching them again.

Congrats to Adam, it is rumored he is performing at the EMAs on Sun. night?? Wish there was some way we in the good old US of A could watch. I have seen it in writing several times that Europe and the music industry there appreciates this phenomenal artist a tad more than here in America. I am not sure I agree, because I know how fiercely mad about him we Glamberts and other fans are, but I still ponder about it once in awhile. I guess it happens sometimes when an artist remains true to himself like Adam does, and does not fall into to the bubble gum, teeny popper kind of music that seems to win popularity so quickly, but looses it quickly to. Anyway, as always glad to see the awards go his way, he surely deserves it, love the guy, and can’t wait (but am doing so patiently) for his 2nd creation.
