Ahead of the video premiere for Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night”, Little Monsters can catch the Weeknd and Illangelo’s ghostly reworking of the track, which is set appear on Born This Way: The Remix (out November 21). The pair strip out the pulsing rhythm and guitars of the album version and inject a creepy string sample and hip hop beat as a replacement. All instrumentation drops out toward the latter half of the remix, save for a piano, as ethereal backing vocals drone away beneath Gaga’s chorus. Listen to the spooky track below.
I really did this track right after 2:17. You can really tell when the lyrics and melody of a track are timeless when you can give them any beat and the track still sounds just as good.
