Rapper Heavy D Dead At Age 44

Rap legend Heavy D, whose real name is Dwight Arrington Myers, was pronounced dead today in Los Angeles at the age of 44. A 911 call was made earlier this afternoon, when the “Now That We Found Love” rapper was found unconcious at his Beverly Hills home. He had regained conciousness by the time paramedics arrived, but died a short time later at the hospital. Though he had stepped away from the spotlight some time ago, Heavy D was in the midst of a comeback — last month he performed live for the first time in 15 years at the Michael Jackson tribute concert and at the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
