Today was a mixed bag Nicole Scherzinger fans — the Vegas cover girl revealed on Twitter that her debut solo LP Killer Love has been pushed back for the zillionth time and now won’t see the light of day until at least 2012. (Oh, how prophetic the album’s single “Don’t Hold Your Breath” turned out to be!) But just when we were about to throw our hands up and give up completely, Nicole hit us with a couple of new tracks that will have us holding our breath at least a little longer. Hear clips from “Tomorrow Never Dies” and “Trust Me I Lie” below.

“Trust Me I Lie” was written by Diane Warren, and sounds that way — it has that “power ballad” thing going for it even though there’s a dance beat underneath.

And we like the catchy, upbeat “Tomorrow Never Dies” even better — never mind that the title is lifted from a long-forgotten 007 film featuring Teri Hatcher as the Bond girl. (What? The much-more-recent “Quantum Of Solace” didn’t sound poppy enough, Nicole?)

At this point, after waiting so long, releasing tracks that didn’t appear on the UK version of the album is the least Scherzinger can do. Now it’s time to get this album out already!
