Lady Gaga’s “Marry The Night” video officially premieres tonight on E!, but this being the Internet age and all, it’s here early! And it’s equal parts Black Swan, Girl Interrupted, All That Jazz, Fame, Stayin’ Alive and a psychotic Honey Nut Cheerios commercial. Watch all 13 minutes and 48 seconds (jeez) of the Grammy nominee‘s latest opus — which she directed herself — below. (Be forewarned, a nude Gaga appears throughout, though her parts are mostly censored. Still, even if it’s Safe For Work, it may not be safe for your sanity.)
“And…my video is now leaking like an old tampon,” tweeted Gaga upon seeing her little monsters’ reactions to her new video, hours earlier than planned. “Although I do appreciate that really sneaky monsters are flipping out :)”
Well, at least she’s got a sense of humor about her art leaking to the public! Anyway, here it is — and for you impatient monsters, skip eight minutes in for the actual song to begin playing.
Lady Gaga – “Marry The Night”
Lady Gaga spoke to Vanity Fair about her video, which she calls “autobiographical”. The bedroom scene in particular is based off of “the worst day” of her life — when she was dropped by her record label early in her career.
As for the reenactment, Gaga says, “It’s chaotic and sad. But I don’t want it to be safe. It has to be humiliating.”
Is this Gaga’s best video from her Born This Way era? Let us know what you think on Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments below.

i like it. i like how this time she made a video that makes sense. i can watch it and tell what happened. She tried to kill herself after being dropped by Def Jam. and tried everything all over again even harder than before only. then at the end of the video was her leaving to catch a plane to Los Angelas for a meeting with Interscope records. i like this video.
Truly amazing! Ga Ga once again blessed us with her RAW talent. Though it may be over 13 minutes long, she gives us a story that showcases her acting abilities. Is this something we will see more of? Hope so! Pure genious.
I think LA Reid knows what a HUMONGOUS mistake with dropping Lady Gaga. He is a a great man and hard worker..but tisk tisk on letting Lady Gaga go!! He says that is only regret, but that he signed Justin Bieber and things worked out fine in the end for him…I can agree that Justin Bieber has his own talent and skill, but with me being a forever loyal little monster I don’t think signing him can even compare to Lady Gaga, if he were to have kept her. Two monster thumbs up to this amazing video that Lady Gaga made and directed to share with us little monsters on one of the hardest times in her life. I watched a little bit of it, but not all of it. It’s like a surprise you have been waiting for forever that you have to wait until the right moment to open up and that will be when E! premieres it soon! †♥⚡▽
I was not expecting what this video had to offer, I figured there would be a certain level of absurdity to the point I would disregard the video as just another try-hard attention seeking method. But from start to finish I was entertained, I found the video captivating and even inspiring. Even without the story I really enjoyed the dancing, Id say its the best choreography I’ve ever seen her do. The song itself is one of the better tracks of her album (which I’ve come to enjoy quite a bit)
This is a video to end the year, and Im not sure any video this year is quite as good, in fact, Id say this is the best video of her career!
Wow sorry for my typos! I meant to say “HUMONGOUS mistake he* made* with dropping Lady Gaga” in the first line. Also I meant to say “..that is *his only regret..” in the third line.
THIS IS AN AMAZING VIDEO! I’M SPEECHLESS!
I must say the video is shot beautifully, probably the best cinematography she has done to date. I credit Darius for that one. The acting was subpar but she is not an actress so it’s forgivable. The choreography is good and the outfits were amazing. The length was a little long but the story and the imagry kept me interested so it’s fine. Overall, I think it’s her second best video to date but once agai not as strong as bad romance.
WHAT AN COMPLETE OTER PEICE OF CRAP! THIS BLOOD SUCKING DEGENERRATING PIG NEEDS TO BE COMMENTED IN AN INSTITUTION BUILD FOR FREAKS LIKE HERSELF! SHES NOTHING MORE THE A MANUFACTURED FAKE A$$ CON ARTIST! WHO RIPOFF AND MIMICS MADONNA AND OTHER ARTISTS BUT SHE LEAVES U WITH A NASTY AFTER TASTE IN UR MOUTH AFTERWARD LIKE CHEAP GENERIC BEER!! OR SIMILAR TASTE TO EATING A $.99 CENT ALLEY HOOKER OUT AND THEN RELIAZED SHES ON HER PERIOD!
I think she’s weird. By weird I mean, ‘white-jacket hugging-yourself till-kingdom-come’ kinda weird, but this was interesting from the start and surprisingly, I didn’t hate it.
.
Go figure, huh?
Love the video….BUT!!!!! Aside from the selfdestructive tendencies….this is actually more madonna’s story…..SHE started as a dancer…..went to live in paris….then started over completely as a singer in new york!………..
I think Lady Gaga could really be an actress. She really bore her soul in this video. It’s very cool to watch.

OMG how boring i was bored out of my mind for like 80% of this video! and this video has very little to do with the song or the music like all things gaga its always about the image! shes so dam fake i could barf! she tries to hard!…when will she ever learn to keep it real?
Please read my review of this video as well as an essay on Gaga’s entire ethos. “An Opus to the Warrior Queen: Lady Gaga, Trauma, and the Power of a Pop Mythology.”

She’s doing something amazing on a massive scale, and my guess is as she matures as an artist, she’ll only continue getting better.
