Foster The People & Gabourey Sidibe Have A Car Chase In “Don’t Stop” Video

Love surfaces in the strangest of places, as evidenced by Foster The People’s “Don’t Stop (Color On The Walls)” video. The Daniels-directed clip stars Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe as a driving student who lets Mark Foster into her car, thinking he’s her instructor. Turns out he’s just some heist-pulling Joe with a briefcase full of cash. Gabourey decks him in the face as the two tear off into the Hollywood Hills, with FTP members Mark Pontius and Cubbie Fink, here playing cops, hot on their trail. About halfway through the video, Sidibe and Foster plow their car through a stack of buckets filled with paint, causing the band’s frontman to lean out the window and clean the windshield with his jacket.

He eventually gives himself up to the police, but not before Gabourey plants a kiss on him, runs her car into one of the officers and takes off. (Cute cuddling with the cops there at the end, too.)

Foster The People — “Don’t Stop (Color On The Walls)”

We’re just glad “Don’t Stop” — which we singled out as a highlight on Foster The People’s Torches in our Favorite 10 Out Of ’11 albums rundown — got such a quirky video.
