Britney Spears Engaged To Jason Trawick

2011 was definitely a good year to be Britney Spears — she released a chart-topping, critically praised album, landed three Top 10 singles, traveled the world on her successful Femme Fatale tour, turned 30 years old, and now, Brit is ending her year with the best news yet: she’s engaged! Her beau Jason Trawick, who showed the world that he and Brit’s chemistry is the real deal in her “Criminal” video, confirmed the news to Access Hollywood, saying, “Yes, we are engaged.”

Britney and her beau had a romantic dinner Thursday night in Las Vegas celebrating Jason’s 40th birthday, and though Brit got her boyfriend one helluva gift (a brand new motorcycle), Jason surprised her with her own gift – a ring.

Britney expressed her joy to her fans on Twitter this morning. “OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I’ve been waiting for. Can’t wait to show you!” she wrote. “SO SO SO excited!!!!”

The couple met when Jason began acting as her TV agent, back when Britney was still married to Kevin Federline. In 2010, Britney and Jason’s relationship became romantic and Jason quit his job as her agent to exclusively be her boyfriend.

This will be Britney’s third marriage – in 2004, she got hitched to childhood friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas, a marriage that was annulled after 55 hours. Later that year she married Kevin Federline, and we really don’t need to get into all that right now.

Congrats, Britney! Please don’t do another reality show about your relationship!
