Apparently the title of “Artist Of The Year” is entirely subjective, as MTV named Katy Perry, iTunes named Adele, and the Associated Press has named Lady Gaga their entertainer of 2011. Gaga — whose busy year included embarking on a hit tour, releasing a monstrously successful album, Born This Way, raking in Grammy and Emmy honors, premiering a Thanksgiving special and starting her own foundation — was hailed as the person with “the most influence on entertainment and culture in 2011”. Forbes‘ top-earning female artist even surpassed the late Apple founder Steve Jobs by only three votes. [Via AP]
