When rumor has it (grooooan) that you’re in a relationship with a yet-to-be-divorced gentleman, what’s a Grammy- and BRIT-nominated singer to do? Why, take to your blog with a finger-waving post to set the gossip mongers straight, of course. Chart queen Adele finally broke her silence about her new beau, Simon Konecki, this week. “This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon,” she wrote on her official site. UK paper Metro reported as recently as today that Simon, 36, is a married father of a 5-year-old daughter, who wed fashion stylist Clary Fisher in 2004. But that’s not quite the truth, according to Adele.

“Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years,” the Q cover girl wrote on her blog. “Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February.”

Adele, who has been healing after undergoing vocal surgery in the States last fall, is rumored to be the opening act at the February 12 Grammy Awards. The “Set Fire To Rain” songstress has been confirmed as a performer for the BRIT Awards, which take place at London’s O2 Arena on February 21.

Let’s just hope this Simon guy isn’t hiding truths from Adele, because we all know what happened to the last guy (see: “Rolling In The Deep”, “Someone Like You”, “Turning Tables”, etc.).
