Simon Cowell To Launch Reality Competition For DJs
Though most of America probably couldn’t pick David Guetta out of a lineup, his name and brand is bigger than ever — and Simon Cowell knows this. In a sea of singing competitions watering down primetime television, Cowell will attempt to stray from the pack (that includes himself) and launch a show searching for the world’s best new DJ. “DJs are the new rock stars,” said Cowell, whose SYCO Entertainment will team up with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment to produce. “It feels like the right time to make this show.” At least we know there won’t be any Beatles theme nights.
