The rumors are true! British chart-topper Adele has confirmed that she will make her triumphant return to the stage with a performance at the 2012 Grammys on February 12. The singer tweeted the news earlier today, saying: “Ima be, Ima be singing at the Grammys. It’s been so long I started to forget I was a singer!” It seems the soulful singer, who recently paid tribute to Etta James, has fully recovered from her November throat surgery following the vocal cord hemorrhage that led her to twice cancel her North American tour late last year.

Adele received six Grammy nominations herself, including Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Album of the Year. She joins fellow Grammys performers Coldplay, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift. It was previously announced that Adele will also take the stage at the 2012 BRIT Awards on February 21.

We’re near certain the chanteuse will take the opportunity to perform her latest single “Set Fire To the Rain”, but will she be rolling down the red carpet with new beau Simon Konecki? What do you think? Tell us in the comments, or on Twitter and Facebook.
