Is M.I.A. attempting to upstage herself? The very same day she appeared as a cheerleader for Madonna’s campy/creepy “Give Me All Your Luvin” team, the “Birthday Song” diva has also dropped the video for her new single “Bad Girls” — which, contrary to its name, features a lot more bad driving than femme fatales. M.I.A.’s “Bad Girls” video is what would happen if the next Fast & Furious film were set in Morocco and everyone cared more about pop music and fashion than stealing cars. (Which is probably why it’s a music video, not a blockbuster movie.) Check out the Romain Gavras-directed clip below. M.I.A. — “Bad Girls”

“It was dope to have so many people from so many different backgrounds speaking so many different languages come together to create something that we believed in,” M.I.A said about making “Bad Girls.” “I thought I was gonna die on the shoot when I saw the drifting. It was a four day shoot so everyone was on edge the whole time — specifically ME when I had to do blue steel singing to the camera while the cars did doughnuts on the wet road ten feet away. In my mind I was thinking how I was gonna deliver the video to Vice with no legs.”

Well, we’re glad M.I.A. still has her legs, her penchant for mixing pop and politics, and two new videos out today. Let us know what you think on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments.
