After standing by his lady’s side at this year’s BET Honors, it seemed like Nick Cannon was not only back in good spirits, but also feeling much better after suffering mild kidney failure last month. But looks can be deceiving. Canon has announced that he is stepping down from his job as a New York City radio morning show host to put all his energies on getting better.
Cannon revealed that he is following doctors’ orders by breaking ties with some of his bi-coastal “professional commitments,” which include hosting America’s Got Talent in L.A. and the radio show in New York. “It was an absolute pleasure working with CBS Radio and the 92.3 NOW morning show team and I would like to thank them for their unwavering support,” Canon said in a statement Friday (Feb. 17).
Cannon reassured fans he’s not retiring completely, and that he’ll still be hosting the syndicated weekend show, “Cannon’s Countdown”. The man’s got dem babies to feed, right?

Going to miss him on America’s got Talent, he sure made the entire season more lively and exciting. But it is good that he is putting his health first.
