Whitney Houston’s Funeral: Kevin Costner Speaks, Alicia Keys Performs

If Whitney Houston ever needed confirmation that we will always love her, this is it. It’s still hard to believe that the troubled singer is no longer with us, but the overwhelming response to her death in the media reminds us that her music will always be with us. Along with Stevie Wonder and several others, Aretha Franklin was originally slated to perform in honor of the fallen star at today’s funeral, but health concerns unfortunately kept her away. Stepping in was Alicia Keys to sing “Send Me An Angel.” And in one of several heartfelt speeches, Houston’s The Bodyguard co-star Kevin Costner spoke at length about the role that made her a movie star in addition to one of the greatest voices of all time.
