Justin Bieber Sues Over iPhone Game

Justin Bieber’s lawyers have served game developers RC3, a cease and desist order claiming that their new mobile app Joustin’ Beaver too closely resembles the Canadian pop star. The iPhone and Android game features a beaver with a haircut nearly identical to Bieber’s signature shag, and sports a purple hoodie, just like the “Live My Life” singer does on tour. RC3 responded to the lawsuit by saying, “The game is a parody and is protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution. Nowhere in the game is Justin Bieber’s name, photo, image, or life story mentioned.”

Though the company has decided to keep the game on the market for now, days of virtual jousting with Joustin’ Beaver may be numbered. But we’re sure the developers already hard at work on their next app: Skate-y Fairy, a roller skating pixie who bares remarkable resemblance to a certain California Gurl. [via TechCrunch]
