Santigold Sets Sail In “Disparate Youth” Video

Mere days after Santigold unveiled her Master Of My Make-Believe album cover, the video for the dis-happy songstress‘ new reggae/electro single “Disparate Youth” has premiered. In it, she’s taken on a boat to a remote island where some slightly-creepy voodoo goes down when she presents her golden ring to a pair of youths in white hats. Feel Santigold’s strange magic below. Whether it’s her views on the current state of music or her videos, there’s never a dull moment with Santigold. And we’ll give her props for not resorting to the usual flashy visual conventions — and for reminding us that we haven’t watched Duran Duran’s “Rio” in a few years!
