Jay-Z’s South By Southwest Amex Sync Show, an interactive event that was both broadcast live on YouTube and invited fans to tweet in with song requests, was an intimate affair (physically) during Austin’s week-long music festival. (Online was another matter, as the tweets came pouring in.) Throughout the hour-and-a-half gig, Hova tore through an array of cuts like “What More Can I Say”, “99 Problems”, “On To The Next One”, “Big Pimpin'” and, yes, even “Glory”. The latter was written for Jay’s daughter, Blue Ivy (“All the parents in the house, make some noise,” he said on stage), though baby girl and mother Beyonce sat Dad’s first-ever SXSW gig out.
