Atlanta rapper B.o.B is already a Southern boy, but he’s about to go country. Bobby Ray has collaborated with none other than Taylor Swift on a new song for his upcoming album, Strange Clouds. So how did this unlikely team-up come to pass? Find out below, where we’ve also included the MC’s new video preview for his Ryan Tedder-produced single, “So Good”.

Fuse interviewed both B.o.B and T.I. at South By Southwest, and inquired about the rumor that Taylor would be collaborating with the Strange Clouds artist. (The two rappers are planning their own collab with the joint album The Man & The Martian.) B.o.B plead the fifth, saying, “I can neither confirm nor deny such allegations.” But T.I. wasn’t keen on playing coy. “I can. I heard it,” he said, adding, “Taylor’s extended Hustle Gang. She a part of the crew. She just ain’t got her dog tags yet, but she’s a part of the crew, though.” B.o.B then revealed that Taylor was the one who reached out first about working together.

This wouldn’t be the first time Taylor and B.o.B have collaborated — Bobby Ray made an appearance at Swift’s Speak Now tour stop in Dallas last year to perform his song “Airplanes” with the country star, though this is the first time the two have hit the studio together.

Strange Clouds drops May 1, but you can check out a video preview of “So Good” right now:
