Weezy sat down with MTV’s Amanda Seales in Miami for a new weekly talk show called Hip-Hop POV, where he played her his new album and explained that it’s called Devol. (It’s pronounced “devil”, but is actually “loved” spelled backwards). “This is my version of love songs,” Wayne said, adding that it’s material he wrote while he was locked up.
