People has crowned 30-year-old Beyonce Knowles as the Most Beautiful Woman In The World in 2012. Blue Ivy Carter’s mom, a 16-time Grammy winner, bested other beauties like My Week With Marilyn actress Michelle Williams (not to be confused with Bey’s onetime Destiny’s Child band mate of the same name, of course), Phil Collins’ daughter Lily Collins, Mad Men star Christina Hendricks, country queen Miranda Lambert and princess Kate Middleton. “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth,” Beyonce tells People. “I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth.”
Beyonce and husband Jay-Z welcomed daughter Blue Ivy into the world in early January. “The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy,” Bey tells the magazine. “The word ‘love’ means something completely different now.”
That said, Beyonce also has a love for the stage, and she’s set to play three nights at Atlantic City, New Jersey’s Revel Resort, in the 5,050-capacity Ovation Hall, over Memorial Day weekend (May 25 – 27). The concerts will be her first since giving birth earlier this year. The singer’s last live gigs came via a four-nite stint at New York’s Roseland Ballroom last August.
