Okay, we know we say a lot of artists are our faves, but with Marina and the Diamonds, we really mean it. May we call your attention to this performance of “Primadonna” on The Graham Norton Show as evidence of her inestimable greatness? Everything about this performance sparkles — obviously, we love the single, but Marina also manages to make her singing captivate the whole way through with minimal choreography and facial expressions. (Lana Del Rey and Nicki Minaj might want to take notes at how to do both a little and a lot simultaneously.) Plus, there’s a fake puppy on stage to sell the theme of the song — what better symbol of overprivileged rich girl status than a tiny dog?
