Lady Gaga’s “Reel Cool” Demo Surfaces, Discusses Past Drug Use

Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way Ball is rolling through Hong Kong, and the singer is clearly enjoying her time in the city. “We Love Party China xoxoxo,” the singer tweeted, along with a not-so-sober-looking photo of herself. That’s one way to cope after a breakup, no? We hope Gaga continues to feel fine and fancy free despite her ex-producer (and ex-boyfriend) Rob Fusari leaking an old demo of hers from her pre-RedOne days, “Reel Cool.” (The title alone is enough to embarrass somebody.) Check it out below.

This disco-sounding demo isn’t the only thing from Gaga’s past to resurface. In a recently aired interview with Lifetime’s The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet, Gaga reflected on her early years as an artist, and her abuse of cocaine. “I would go back to my apartment every day and I would just sit there. It was quiet and it was lonely. It was still,” said Gaga. “It was just my piano and myself. I had a television and I would leave it on all the time just to feel like somebody was hanging out with me.”

“It was like the drug was my friend,” she added. “I never did it with other people. It’s such a terrible way to fill that void, because it just adds to that void, because it’s not real.”
