Andre 3000 To Play Jimi Hendrix In Biopic ‘All Is By My Side’
After a few starts and stops, Andre 3000 has officially landed the role of a lifetime. The rapper and actor will play rock icon Jimi Hendrix in upcoming biopic All Is By My Side. The film is said to follow Hendrix’s humble beginnings, his discovery in New York, and the crucial months he spent in England crafting his 1967 debut album, Are You Experienced. Screenwriter and novelist John Ridley, who has worked on films such as Three Kings, U-Turn and Red Tails, will write the script and direct the production, which will begin shooting in Ireland this month.
