Chris Brown has flip-flopped between straight-up hip hop and club-ready dance-pop over the past couple years. And, as demonstrated by his multiple award wins and frequent chart hits, he’s quite capable of pulling both off to his fans’ liking. It’s full speed ahead with the strobe light thumper “Don’t Wake Me Up”, the latest Fortune track to surface online (via a UK radio rip). UPDATE: It was thought that David Guetta produced the song, but production credits reveal it’s actually a co-production by Benny & Alle Benassi, Free School,  William Orbit and Brian “BK” Kennedy.

So just who is that Rihanna-esque female who intros the song by saying “Dearly Beloved, if this love only exists in my dreams, don’t wake me up”? Wait — is that Rihanna? (You never know these days.)

At any rate, Breezy is on a roll with the Auto Tune-laden cuts in this vein — “Yeah 3X”, “Beautiful People”, “Turn Up The Music”, etc. If it ain’t broke, Chris certainly isn’t going to fix it. But if this is your sort of thing, then you won’t be disappointed.
