Jennifer Lopez may top Forbes‘ Celebrity 100 list, but it’s Justin Bieber who’s got the cover. He might not have proved himself to be what GQ considers to be a “man”, but this “Swaggy Adult” ranked third on the list — just behind Oprah Winfrey — having raked in $55 million in the last year. If that’s not “man” money, we don’t know what is.

The Biebs discusses his financial strategy with the magazine, saying, “I’m not going to invest in something I don’t like; I have to believe in the product.” Among the private tech startups, the “Boyfriend” singer has contributed his millions to Spotify, Viddy and Stamped. He also credits social media outlets like Twitter and YouTube with his success — and rightly so. He’s ranked third and ninth for Social and Web rank, respectively.

Just how much is the Believe artist involved in his empire? “I do calls every week with my business manager and my lawyer,” JB tells Forbes. “Each week I’m learning something about my business and what I need to know for my career.” Not bad for someone who just graduated high school and claims to hate reading.
