On May 22, Garbage kicked off the release of their first album in seven years, Not Your Kind Of People, with a fueled performance at Webster Hall as part of MTV Hive’s “Live in NYC” series. The group busted out their old hits “Stupid Girl”, “Push It” and “Vow”, and also performed new tracks “Blood For Poppies” and “Battle In Me.” The sold-out show — their first New York City gig in seven years — proved that the band’s fans haven’t gone anywhere. As far as we can see in the live-stream above, it looked like their set went on without a hitch, but we know that Shirley Manson would’ve been to the rescue if any fisticuffs emerged in the crowd.
