Barack Obama Sings “Call Me Maybe”, Sort Of

Thanks to MTV Act‘s supercut of Barack Obama “singing” Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Call Me Maybe” it’s safe to say we’ve now seen everything that could ever be done with the infectious tune. People of the Internet, you may now retire any and all future mashups, remixes and lip dubs — there is pretty much nothing that could top this.

This isn’t the first time the President’s voice has been spliced into song. Earlier this year we witnessed our Commander-In-Chief speaking the lyrics to LMFAO‘s “Sexy And I Know It”. But there’s something about hearing the POTUS mixed with the saccharine sounds of Scooter Braun’s latest protege that had us LOLing at inappropriate volumes. Ah, if only technology like this had been around back when Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address. Someone could have edited his speech into Nicki Minaj‘s “Starships”.

What do you think the chances are that Obama uses “Call Me Maybe” as his 2012 campaign song? “Hey I just met you and this is crazy, but here’s this ballot. Vote for me, maybe?” has a nice ring to it.

What song should the President be forced to sing next? Tell us below or on Facebook and Twitter.
