Usher‘s chilly and understated “Climax” was apparently a misdirect, since every track off Looking 4 Myself we’ve heard since has been an unapologetic call to the dancefloor — particularly the buzzing, fast-paced bonus track “Hot Thing”, which surfaced online today. The club banger was initially intended for Pharrell’s artist Maxine Ashley, and even featured a Lil Wayne verse. Alas, it fell into the hands of Ush and Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, who have just as much a right to sing about hot ladies as anyone else. Listen to the track below and tell us if it lives up to its name.

“I really wanted to create something that I felt would work in both our worlds, a fun record that would be a little bit irresponsible,” Usher told MTV News of their collaboration. “You gotta just let it go. No apologies, fuck it.”
