Katy Perry Channels Snow White in “Wide Awake” Video Trailer
From promoting her 3-D movie Part of Me to partying it up in London, Katy Perry has been a busy girl. But not too busy to give everyone a sneak peek of the video for her new single, “Wide Awake,” off of her extended album, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.
Set in a mystical forest that looks a bit like the same one Kelly Clarkson is rocking out in “Behind Those Hazel Eyes,” a little girl comes across a book that chronicles the music video journey of Perry’s recent album. After going through all the “chapters,” the book concludes with the final one that presents bits of the new video, which features Katy a prince, the little girl and Katy taking a bite of a poisonous strawberry. (Get the Snow White reference now?)
The video for “Wide Awake” premieres on June 19.
