Following the album trailers for Muse and The Killers‘ latest albums, Green Day is following suit with their own album video tease. The above clip shows footage from the making of ¡Uno!, the first part of an announced album trilogy, with Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool working in the studio. (It also reveals the green-and-pink album cover, with Armstrong’s eyes blacked out.) The song that plays over the video reminds us quite a bit of Franz Ferdinand‘s hit single “Take Me Out”, though MTV hears similarities with The Clash‘s “The Magnificent Seven.” Wouldn’t the first time a Green Day song sounded like something you’ve already heard.
¡Dos! dropping on November 13, and ¡Tré! on January 15.
