Everyone’s at it — including PopJustice‘s Peter Robinson, who sent an apparently screw-turning tweet to Lily Allen today that prompted a jokey-but-fiery response from the British songstress. But, in the process, she revealed that she’s been in the studio with her It’s Not Me, It’s You producer Greg Kurstin. So, yay for that!

Allen started the tweetversation off by noting on Twitter that she digs Kate Nash‘s new song “Underestimate The Girl”. Robinson responded, “I suppose it’s better than no music at all isn’t it. ISN’T IT LILY.” That’s when Allen blurted out that she’s been working with Kurstin.

Said Lily: “@Popjustice you will be pleased to know that i am currently in the fucking studio with @GregKurstin so SHUT UP PETER !”

She then added, “no big deal really, im just throwing shit at the wall and seeing if anything sticks.”

This now makes the second pop star reveal involving Kurstin in the past 24 hours, following Pink‘s announcement that she collaborated with him on her upcoming single “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”.

Kurstin, one-half of The Bird And The Bee, co-wrote and produced all the tracks on Allen’s 2009 LP It’s Not Me, It’s You, including the Ivor Novello Award-winning lead single “The Fear”.
