Clearly no one connected to Radio 1 made any disparaging remarks about Nicki Minaj‘s “Starships,” because the temperamental diva’s appearance at Hackney Weekend in London went off as scheduled. It was another spotty performance of the controversial hit, with Nicki still not up to singing/lip-syncing the whole way through — she more or less gives up after a certain point. (She’s still got a mean strut, though.)
However, if “Starships” was never meant to be your bag, Hackney Weekend had plenty of other treats in store, including Rihanna, Jay-Z, Flo Rida, Rita Ora, and Jessie J. Catch their performances below.
