“Timebomb” songstress Kylie Minogue‘s stint on the E! channel continued when she hit up Fashion Police (following appearances on The Soup and Chelsea Lately) for some dishing with Joan Rivers, Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic. At one point, the conversation turned to the subject of Madonna (as it does) after Rivers brought up the fact that Minogue and the Material Girl are considered the great pop divas. “Competition? I don’t know. But I grew up such a fan of hers,” Kylie said. “I don’t even care how we’re in the same sentence. It’s quite good for me.”
Joan then threw Kylie for a loop by bringing up the singer’s ex-boyfriend, French actor Olivier Martinez: “Don’t you ever wake up and say, ‘Ha, ha — Halle Berry’s got my sloppy seconds?’” The audience was audibly shocked. The conversation later swung back to Madonna, as Rivers laid into Madge for flashing her breast on stage in Istanbul recently. “She has just passed a generational milestone,” Joan quipped. “This year, the first guy that ever masturbated to a Madonna video started collecting social security.”
Kylie took a more objective approach to the subject: “Was she caught up in the moment? Was it premeditated? Who knows? But I think it’s got people more perplexed than kind of excited by it.”
Rivers’ ageist slams on the Material Girl continued as Rancic brought up the cheerleader outfit Madonna is wearing on her current tour. “Madonna as a cheerleader? What school did she go to — Our Lady Of Osteoporosis?”
And despite her earlier praise of Madge, Kylie simply noted of the outfit, “No. Just no.”
