Madonna is the Queen of pop and theatrics — so far on her MDNA world tour, she’s flashed a nipple, showed off her derriere, and extended the shelf life of the “Born This Way”/”Express Yourself” debate. And last Saturday (June 30), during a tour stop in Berlin, Madge kept up her attention-seeking antics by breaking into tears while performing a slowed-down version of “Like A Virgin” that sounds like something out of a 1940s German cabaret act.
Was the pop star dealing with some emotional stuff at the time and it flooded out of her on stage? Was this just a good way to amp up the melodrama of the performance? Maybe she’s finally realising how ridiculois it is for a 53yr old, twice divorced, mother of 4 to still be singing “Like a Virgin” while wearing lingerie on stage. Give it up girlfriend, your time has passed.
