Mary J. Blige and emerged hermit D’Angelo are teaming up for a co-headlining tour this summer. The Liberation tour will kick off August 18 in Virginia Beach, and include Melanie Fiona as the opening act. Though he briefly toured throughout Europe and gave phenomenal performances at the 2012 BET Awards and Essence Music Festival (as well as a surprise cameo at Bonnaroo), the Liberation Tour will mark D’Angelo’s first US tour in over a decade, so you won’t want to miss out. So far only eight dates have been announced, but we can expect the R&B stars to hit up to 20 cities. Tour dates below.

I saw him in Paris last January(2012!) and he was a killer! He still has his incredible voice, with his unique groove vibes, more, he did progress on it! He has amazing New songs(“The Charade”, “Suggar Daddy”, “Ain’t that Easy” and “Another… Life”), I Can’t wait for the new album, now he playin’ electric guitar, his band(pino palladino, Chris Dave…)killin’it!
