Backstreet Boys have shed New Kids On The Block after the two boy bands toured around over the past year (as NKOTBSB). But now they’ve regained former original member Kevin Richardson, who left the fold following 2005 album Never Gone. The fully-reunited quintet appeared on Good Morning America this morning via satellite from London, where they announced that they’ll be performing for the show’s Summer Concert Series on August 31.

Nick Carter also said that all five are currently recording the next Backstreet album in London with producer Martin Terefe. “Our vibe, it’s like never before,” Carter said. “It’s revitalized.” Kevin remained pretty tight-lipped throughout the chat until GMA dug up a clip of the fresh-faced Boys performing at a club in 1993 — nearly 20 years ago.
