In late June, Alicia Keys shared a new song with her fans, the jovial “New Day”, assumed to be off her upcoming fifth studio album. But the song could also appear in some form on 50 Cent‘s forthcoming Street King Immortal, as the rapper announced his next single will also be called “New Day”, and will include features by both Dr. Dre and Keys. The MC revealed the single’s cover art on Tuesday (July 17) on Twitter.

If Alicia gave the hook of her new tune to Fiddy to use for his new single, it wouldn’t be an unprecedented move — 2009′s ”Empire State Of Mind” appeared on Jay-Z‘s The Blueprint 3, then was released as a “Broken Down” version on Keys’ The Element Of Freedom.

50 Cent, Alicia Keys’ and Dr. Dre’s “New Day” is scheduled to drop July 24.
