A year after her untimely death, a new song from Amy Winehouse has allegedly found its way online. Slow jam “Jazz N’ Blues” was reportedly written by Winehouse with Edward Bigham in 2001, two years before she released her debut album Frank at the age of 20.

We have a hard time believing this is really Amy on the track — none of her well-known vocal mannerisms or cadences are heard in this fairly generic R&B song about blowing all your cash on “bags and shoes, jazz and blues”. But there’s always a chance that she developed her sound over time, and this recording was just a step on the way to the vocal styling she would eventually perfect. Listen to the song below and judge for yourself.
