It’s been a busy summer for Pink! She’s currently putting the finishing touches on her sixth studio album, The Truth About Love, which will be released September 18. Meanwhile, she wrote two new songs for Cher‘s forthcoming album. Cher recently tweeted “Had meeting 2nite w/Record Co. They Love Song ive done!Got 2 New! PINK Wrote them! Co wants it out end yr.”
We can’t wait to hear how one of the biggest hitmakers of our generation translated her tell-it-like-it-is pop energy to Cher’s ageless dance hall mystique. And then, we can’t wait to compare those tracks to Cher’s duet with Lady Gaga, “The Greatest Thing.” Considering the 66-year-old singer also worked with Christina Aguilera on Burlesque, one would think she is comfortably entering the “wise sage” phase of her career. But this is Cher we’re talking about. The legend may be passing down some wisdom, but if anything she’s doing to this to show that she has no trouble keeping up with these young scamps breathing down her neck.
