Muse helped usher in the Olympic games with their triumphant new single “Survival”, the official song of the London Olympics 2012which will also appear on their new album, The 2nd Law (out Septemer 18). Today, the Brit rockers revealed the colorful artwork for their follow-up to 2009’s The Resistence, and we’re sure whatever that rainbow-hued glob is was left abstract on purpose.

Check out the 13-song tracklist below.

The band recently revealed that their new album was inspired by Skrillex and dubstep culture. “The moshpit has moved from guitars and gone towards the laptop, so with that song [new track “The 2nd Law: Unsustainable”, heard in the album trailer] we’re trying to see if we can challenge the laptop,” they told NME. “We created something that was dubsteppy but we wanted to see if we could do it with real instruments. We wanted to ask,’Can rock bands compete with what these guys are doing?'”
