Nearly three months after Phillip Phillips was crowned the American Idol winner and his coronation song “Home” debuted, along comes the music video for the Coldplay-esque tune. And it couldn’t come at a better time, considering “Home” has been used as a theme song during NBC’s London Olympics coverage of women’s gymnastics. (You may have noticed that the single has been perched at #1 on iTunes all week — now you know why.)
As for the video, it’s a fairly straight-forward affair that finds the crooner strumming his guitar and looking pensive as he travels the country performing at various gigs. Look for brief moments featuring Phillips’ girlfriend Hannah.
