There’s something inherently warm and fuzzy about Christmas songs that makes them hard to critique. But for every classic like Mariah Carey’s evergreen “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” there are two or three equally entertaining — if slightly less conventional — modern carols that you’ll probably skip playing in company.
