The buzz began last week that the 19-year-old crooner was in consideration for the show, and now Nick has confirmed he’s up for the gig it via Twitter. “The rumors are true… I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol,” Jonas tweeted on Saturday.
Think he’s too young for the job, AI fans? Consider that fellow Disney Channel alum Demi Lovato, who’s also 19, is locked in for Fox’s other singing competition series, The X Factor. If the stars align perfectly for Nick, this would have him on American Idol while older brothers Kevin and Joe star on their respective reality series, Married To Jonas and The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep. I love the fact that Mariah Carey’s going to be on American Idol but I’m not feeling Nick Jonas. I don’t think this kid has the experience or the talent to judge others on this show. I’ve loved watching AI and I’m looking forward to season 12 and watching it commercial free. I can only do this if Nick Jonas isn’t a judge, or this will make me find a new show on primetime.
