With Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler off American Idol, will it be Nick Jonas joining Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson as the third judge? The buzz began last week that the 19-year-old crooner was in consideration for the show, and now Nick has confirmed he’s up for the gig it via Twitter. “The rumors are true… I am being considered to be a judge on American Idol, and it would be a dream come true if it happens. #nickonidol,” Jonas tweeted on Saturday.

Think he’s too young for the job, AI fans? Consider that fellow Disney Channel alum Demi Lovato, who’s also 19, is locked in for Fox’s other singing competition series, The X Factor. If the stars align perfectly for Nick, this would have him on American Idol while older brothers Kevin and Joe star on their respective reality series, Married To Jonas and The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep. We’ll let you determine which Jo Bro has the plumb gig.

I love the fact that Mariah Carey’s going to be on American Idol but I’m not feeling Nick Jonas. I don’t think this kid has the experience or the talent to judge others on this show. I’ve loved watching AI and I’m looking forward to season 12 and watching it commercial free. I can only do this if Nick Jonas isn’t a judge, or this will make me find a new show on primetime. I enjoy the latest episodes on primetime using my Auto Hop feature to skip commercials. The Hopper’s Auto Hop feature still allows you to watch commercials Dish’s just making the hassle of manually fast forwarding commercials easier. You can still rewind to see the commercials if you want and you have to enable the feature in order for it to work. I know when my coworker at Dish told me about this feature I was excited to try it. It’s been great not having to worry about skipping the commercials and it gives my remote a break.
