Miley Cyrus got a new haircut, and we think it’s pretty cool. Recently after going platinum blond, the 19-year-old chopped off her once-long locks and took to Twitter to show off her new pixie cut. “Never felt more me in my whole life,” wrote Cyrus, who now looks a whole lot like Robyn, no? (Or possibly a newly flaxen-haired Adam Lambert.) “Feeling so happy in my skin,” she added, throwing pic after pic of her enjoying her extreme makeover.
Miley is clearly loving her dramatic new look, but a lot of her fans evidently aren’t as impressed. ”If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all,” Cyrus tweeted, defending her new style. “My hair is attached to my head no one else’s.”

“My dad @billyraycyrus used to tell me ‘opinions are are like ass holes every body has one’,” she continued. “LOVE my hair… feel so happy, pretty, and free.”
It turns out, this was no last-minute decision — Miley has wanted short hair for awhile. In this ABC News profile of Cyrus during her Hannah Montana tour, a then 16-year-old Miley points to a framed photo she had of 60s icon Twiggy, and says, “One day I’m gonna cut my hair like that, I know I am. What does you boy friend think about you haircut? I personaly like you with shoulder length hair. but you look different. I got to get used of it. But you have the face for either short of long hair.
