Kelly Clarkson treated her fans in Bristow, VA, Thursday night to a cover of TLC‘s seminal 1999 Grammy-winner, “No Scrubs.”
“This is definitely my jam, I’m just saying,” she said, introducing the song. “This is gonna date me, and I know a lot of you aren’t even gonna know this song, and don’t tell me that because I’m gonna feel old, I’m gonna cry and drink more… But this is one of my favorite songs from junior high.”
She performed the song with minimal accompaniment, just an acoustic guitar, light drumming, three singers and a jokingly flamboyant male backup dancer behind her. And, yeah, she pretty much killed it.
Kelly is the queen of covers, but what song do you want to see her take on? Tell us in the comments below, or on Facebook and Twitter.

Kelly IS the Queen of Covers! These past 2 tours have had some AMAZING unexpected covers. I wish she would sing “Primadonna” by Marina & The Diamonds, “Trouble Is” by Allison Iraheta, or “Tender” by Tammin Sursok.
She is definitely the QUEEN OF COVERS….
NOBODY can touch her. She’s the most versatile voice in music today beyond all doubt.
Nobody can beat the original in my honest opinion although she did have a great performance. Incredible performance. But I still hold the original highly.
I was there! She was amazing as always. I loved this song growing up! Total blast from the past. I couldn’t stop watching the dancer…he was hilarious!
If this song dates her, yikes! I guess it dates me too! I remember it from when I was in junior high too…and I’m younger than she is…ok, not by much. And she isn’t even “old”!
Damn No-scrubs ,this song still a lot popular.still having trouble to promote my site http://www.no-scrubs.com
