The Daily Mail reports that Kanye West will not attend tonight’s (Sep. 6) MTV Video Music Awards in LA because Kim Kardashian won’t be there. Ye’s reality star girlfriend has a prior engagement for Fashion Week in New York City, and while West wasn’t scheduled to perform at the awards show, he was going to be in attendance because his song “Mercy,” featuring Pusha T, Big Sean and 2 Chainz, is up for Best Hip-Hop Video. The couple appeared in a promo for the VMAs in early August. Neither Kanye nor Kim have commented on the report.
