It’s time once again for Extended Cut — our Soundbytes segment where we pull out our magnifying glass to examine the biggest pop story of the week. Today, we’ve only got one thing on our mind: the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. With a jam-packed set list that includes just about everyone except your next-door neighbor, we’re sure this year will deliver mind-blowing performances (Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, anyone?), jaw-dropping outfits and a dazzling display of surprises (even if no one reveals their pregnancy).
