lil wayne lawsuit

Lil Wayne has found himself entangled in another lawsuit, but this time he’s the one sending lawyers out for blood. Wayne has filed a lawsuit against Quincy Jones‘ son Quincy Jones III for using his songs without permission in the 2009 documentary The Carter, according to TMZ.

While Wayne allowed Jones’ cameras to follow him around for the film, he never signed off on them using his tunes. All of the songs that ended up in the doc were from Tha Carter III, including “Lollipop,” “A Milli” and “La La.” Weezy also apparently hated the movie, claiming it was a “scandalous portrayal” of him.

Wayne’s attorneys are busy these days: in late August, his Young Money imprint was sued by two producers who worked with the label in 2007 and 2008, claiming unpaid royalties. Everyone’s trying to get some of that Young Money money.
