Coachella comes just once a year, but it looks like there’s some moving and shaking in the works, with plans to expand the flagship southern California music festival to five concerts a year. Start shopping for real estate in Coachella Valley now: You’re going to be spending a lot of time there.

According to The Hollywood ReporterGoldenvoice — the promotions company responsible for the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival — filed a “Notice of Preparation” in the city of Indio, where they are beginning to study the environmental impact of expanding the festival. The current plan? Three concerts over three-day weekends in the spring, plus another two weekends in the fall, plus an increase in attendance size and space allotted for the festival.

Considering the wild popularity of the festival each year, it’s a smart move to attempt to expand it — but whether Coachella madness can be sustained year-round remains to be seen.
