When One Direction‘s video for “Live While We’re Young” unexpectedly leaked this morning, the band acted fast. First the quintet jumped on TwitCam to chat with fans about the unauthorized release. They then pushed up the premiere of the video to today (September 20). Now, the clip is set to debut worldwide on Vevo at 1:00 p.m. EST, with a digital release to follow on October 1 in the United States. The song has already been sent to radio (smart move, gents). Watch their TwitCam vid above, then click after the jump to see 1D’s official statement to fans about “Live While We’re Young” leaking.

“We wanted our fans to see the video and hear the single in the proper way so we’ve moved the premiere to tonight,” the band explained. “We’re really excited about ‘Live While We’re Young,’ we’ve worked really hard on it and we can’t wait for everyone to see and hear it later today!”
